St David’s Day Parades

St David’s Day is an important holiday in Wales that celebrates St David, the patron saint of Wales. This year you are invited to join in the festivities with colourful parades held throughout the region including:

  • Anglesey – Holyhead Parade – The parade will leave at around 10am from the front of St Mary’s Church
  • Conwy – Colwyn Bay Parade – There will be a parade on Station Road and Sea View Road in Colwyn Bay at 10am. There will be hundreds of school children involved in the parade.

Experience a night of glittering glory and fierce style at The Cher Show this March in Llandudno Venue Cymru!

Written by Tony award-winning Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) and directed by Arlene Phillips (Grease, Starlight Express), this brand new UK production will have you spinning in the aisles to the sounds of Cher’s biggest hits.

Be inspired by the original Queen of sass as you hear iconic songs such as The Shoop Shoop Song, I Got You Babe, Turn Back Time, Strong Enough and Believe.

Celebrate independence and individuality with this joyous party musical – it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

Rhyl Comedy Club has been delivering uproarious comedy since 2017 at Rhyl Little Theatre.

On March 5th, runners from all over the UK are invited to take part in the stunning Jones o Gymru Anglesey Half Marathon & 10k.

Fox Antifreeze will be hosting its annual non-competitive, multi-lap endurance challenge at Coed y Brenin in Dolgellau. This event offers riders an opportunity to choose between 1, 2 or 3 laps of the 12km course and timed using RFID tag technology.

A staggered start has been implemented to reduce bottle neck issues and ensure riders get the best out of Coed y Brenin’s superb singletrack trails.

Riders should come prepared for the unexpected, as Coed y Brenin is known for its changeable weather. However, regardless of the conditions, participants are sure to receive a warm welcome and have an enjoyable day out on the trails.

Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre will be providing plenty of facilities such as café, toilets, bike wash and a well-stocked bike shop.

With only 400 entry spaces available, this event is sure to sell out quickly, so those interested should not delay in signing up!

Visitors to Venue Cymru Llandudno on 12th March are in for a treat with Strictly Come Dancing 2021 champion Giovanni Pernice bringing his brand new 2023 production of ‘Made in Italy’.

The show promises an incredible soundtrack, breathtaking choreography and gorgeous costumes, all inspired by the culture of Italy.

Visitors to Snowdon can have the opportunity to experience a two-day event with FITBANKER this March 17 – 19th.

Trekkers will ascend the tallest mountain in Wales, boasting an elevation of 1,085 meters (3,560 ft) and be rewarded with spectacular views from the summit.

The trek will start at the Pen y Pass Car Park and will take approximately 6 hours with a total climb of 895m.

The route of ascent is via the Pyg Track and descent is via the Miners Track. There are six different paths to conquer this giant, depending on experience and ability level.

With its rare flora and fauna, Snowdonia National Park is an ideal place to explore.

Edmund Hillary used Snowdon as part of his training for his 1953 ascent of Mount Everest, so why not be inspired by him and make the most of this two-day adventure with FITBANKER!
